7elevenkenmore-sq-004.jpgBefore leaving Kenmore Square my friends and I stopped at 7-Eleven to get some drinks for our ride home. We found this 7-Eleven is very wheelchair friendly and accessible.

seven-eleven-in-kenmore-square.jpgThere are steps leading to the entry door with a wide cement ramp on the side.The ramp has railings on both sides for added safety. The entry door is not automatic so Jowanna opened the door while Ric pushed my manual chair inside. All the aisles are plenty wide enough to turn my chair.

All products are placed easily within my reach. The self serve counter where you can get a hot dog or cup of coffee is within my reach as are the condiments. The cashier counter is of a good wheelchair accessible height; the ATM/Credit Card Transaction machine is within reach. The cashier was courteous, helpful and friendly.

I give this 7-Eleven FOUR STARS for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn the Fifth Star they would need to install an automatic entry door so a person in a wheelchair can enter independently.
