While heading back to our van, after an enjoyable lunch at
The Playwright Restaurant & Bar in South Boston , my friends and I stopped at 7-Eleven to purchase some bottled water. We were pleased to find this 7-Eleven fully wheelchair accessible.
The entrance to this 7-Eleven is wheelchair accessible for it is a cement slope and not a step. You will need help with opening the entry door for it is not automatic.
This convenience store is spacious and the aisles are wide with plenty of room for my chair. They sell many items such as; prepared food items, milk, bakery fresh cookies, soft drinks, hot coffee and much more. All saleable items are accessible and within my reach; all counters are wheelchair accessible; even the self-serve soft drink fountain and counter with hot coffee is within my reach. MBTA passes are sold here as well. The cashier counter is wheelchair accessible; I had no problem paying for my bottle of water.
I give this 7-Eleven FOUR STARS for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn the Fifth Star, they would simply need to install an automatic door so a wheelchair can enter independently.
