Today, my friends and I were traveling along Rte 24 in Brockton, on our way home from an appointment for the
Auto Ambulator at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital. Amanda was driving and Ric and I were seated in the back of the van, listening to music on my favorite radio station.
Suddenly, we heard a loud, ‘THUMP-THUMP-THUMP’. Amanda immediately pulled to the side of the road; Ric got out of the van and discovered that we had a FLAT TIRE! The rear tire had blown and it had many large holes.
Ric looked for a jack to put the spare donut on the van, but could not find any jack in the van. Amanda is a member of AAA; she called for AAA’s Road Side Assistance. AAA provides road service 24-hours a day – 7 days a week to all members.
Amanda told AAA that she had a passenger seated in a wheelchair. AAA told her that if a disabled person is in a broken down vehicle, they consider it a PRIORITY!
To our glee, a service truck called by AAA pulled up behind us, only minutes after we placed the call. A nice man placed a donut on our van. We had called my mom, and she arrived just in time to follow us to the service station, for we didn’t feel comfortable driving on this little donut. We left our van at the station and borrowed my mom and dad’s van until a new tire can be ordered and placed on our van.
I give AAA FIVE STARS for their quick response and sensitivity to the needs of the disabled. I highly recommend all who travel to obtain a AAA card for you may need it just like we did.

Hey Kenny & co, Your tire looks in really bad shape. Good advice to your readers. I’m wheelchair saeted driver and drive my own van. AAA Road Side Service has always responded within minutes when I’ve been stuck on the side of the road. I would never be without my AAA card when on the road. Great review for all to read!
