Apothecare of Plymouth delivers our home medications and supplies every week; we ran short so Amanda, Ric and I headed to their pharmacy in Plymouth to pick up a medication I needed. I was pleased to find Apothecare of Plymouth very wheelchair friendly and accessible.

There are handicap parking spaces right in front of the access slope to the sidewalk which is close to the entrance. The entry door is not automatic so Amanda held the door while Ric pushed my manual chair inside. The pick-up pharmacy counter is of a perfect accessible height; Apothecare has medical supplies for sale which are easily within my reach; we purchased some dispensers of hand sanitizers at a low price or $1.00 each which is a great deal.

The employees are all very kind, sensitive and respectful; especially Pat and Ann who bring our medications and supplies to my home every week; they always take the time to ask me and my roommate how we are doing. The restrooms are spacious and fully ADA compliant; the faucet, soap and hand towel dispenser are easily within my reach as well.

I give Apothecare of Plymouth FOUR STARS for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn the Fifth Star they would need to install an automatic entry door so a customer in a wheelchair can enter and exit independently. Pat, Ann and all the employees I’ve met deserve FIVE STARS for their kindness, sensitivity and respect.
