1125081448.jpgThanksgiving Day is coming so Mr. Turkey said, “If I’m not very careful I will lose my head”. The pumpkin said to Mr. Turkey, “Oh Me Oh Me Oh My, If I’m not very careful I’ll be pumpkin pie”! So off to Asacks Farm my friends and I went to pick up a 30 pound Mr. Turkey for my friends and me to cook for Thanksgiving dinner.

1125081446.jpgAsacks Farm is located in a country setting in West Bridgewater. There is a handicap parking space right in front of the main entry door.  Traveling to the door from the parking space may be difficult on a rainy day like yesterday because the parking lot is made of gravel and dirt and the terrain was difficult to wheel though all the muddy puddles. 

30lbturkey009.jpgI found the entry door was plenty wide enough to fit my wheelchair though but it was not automatic so my friends had to hold the door open for me. The service counter was of a perfect height for me and my wheelchair and it was very easy for me to complete my transaction.  The employees were very friendly, courteous, and kind. 

mrturkey01.jpgOn our way out, my friends and I drove by the living quarters for all the Turkeys and we felt sorry that we had bought Mr. Turkey and will cook him up in our oven.

 I give Asacks Turkey Farm FOUR STARS for Wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn the Fifth Star, they would need to pave a walkway from the handicapped space to the side walk leading to the entry and install an automatic door so a person in a wheelchair can access Asacks Farm independently.
