My Aunt Nancy, friends and I go fishing almost every Sunday during the spring, summer and fall. This past Sunday was a sunny and warm fall day so my Aunt Nancy, Johanna, Tony and I headed out for another day of fishing before the weather cools down.

We went fishing at one of my favorite fresh water fishing spots at Assawompset Pond Complex & Betty’s Neck Fishing in Lakeville.  We parked in a small parking area on Long Point Road on the eastern shore of Great Quittacas Pond.  This very wheelchair friendly and accessible fishing area is located at the end of Long Point Road which is right off Bedford Street (Rte 18) in Lakeville. I have a Massachusetts Fresh Water Fishing License from the  Lakeville Town Hall so it is legal for me to catch fish here and bring them home to cook if they are of legal size.

I love fishing. It’s relaxing, fun and free. This spot at Long Pond in Lakeville is a very wheelchair accessible friendly area. I always enjoy meeting the others fishing here for they are all a friendly bunch.

We usually don’t catch many fish but Sunday we were lucky and my Aunt Nancy caught a beautiful bass. Others who were fishing here had good luck too.  A very nice man fishing here weighed our bass and it weighed 3 pounds! It was of legal size for us to bring home!

We brought our 3 pound bass home; boned it; cleaned it; and cooked it for dinner.
It was fresh & delicious!
