Cherry’s Bait Shop
Town Wharf
Plymouth, MA 02360
My Aunt Nancy and I love to fish and headed to Plymouth to go fishing today. A friend told us that Cherry’s Bait shop located at the Town Wharf in Plymouth has a large variety of bait for catching all kind of fish and the kind owners answer any question you have and even advise you where the best fishing spots are located.
Cherry’s Bait Shop is a family business that has been operating for many years. It is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm. This bait shop is located on Town Wharf near the Woods Seafood Fish Market in Plymouth, fishing charter boats and the Captain John’s Whale Watching Cruise.
Upon arriving I was disappointed to find that Cherry’s Bait shop is NOT wheelchair accessible due to a small step at the front entrance so I wasn’t able to get inside the shop. Yet a very kind, sensitive and friendly woman came out to greet us to ask us if we needed any help or bait.
We told her that we wanted to go fishing but accidently brought our fresh water fishing pole instead of our salt water fishing pole. She was very kind and helpful and told us there are 50 fresh water ponds in the Plymouth area. She suggested we could go to Jenny Pond in Plymouth which we’ve fished at before and told us we could catch some small or wide mouth bass at Jenny’s Pond.
We told her we were going to stop at
Ziggy’s in Plymouth for a low fat yogurt before fishing so she suggested we get the worms because the shiners might die with the heat. She kindly went inside and brought our box of worms outside.
The kind woman told me that an employee will always come outside to assist a customer in a wheelchair and bring the bait they need outside.
As for wheelchair accessibility, Cherry’s Bait shop gets ZERO STARS for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn Five Stars they would simply need to place an accessible threshold at the entrance. The kind employee at Cherry’s Bait shop deserves FIVE STARS for her kindness, sensitivity and helpfulness. Thank You!
