bostoncityconv1c.jpgWhile heading to our van after rallying at the State House Rally For New Revenue to Save Disability Services, we stopped at City Convenience for some bottled water. I was especially pleased to find this place wheelchair accessible, since many businesses on Beacon Street are not.

bostoncityconv-007.jpgT here are stairs leading down to the front entry door. Off to the side is a cement wheelchair accessible ramp which leads to the same entry door; railings are on either side of the ramp for added safety. The entry door is not automatic so you will need help opening it. Inside is spacious with plenty of room for you to wheel your chair in all the aisles. The cashier counter is of a good wheelchair accessible height. City Convenience has everything that you could possibly need last minute. They also sell liquor.

I give City Convenience in Boston FOUR STARS for wheelchair accessibility. They would just need to install an automatic entry door to earn the Fifth Star.
