  While waiting for my van’s conversion equipment to get inspected at Ride-Away my friends and I went next door to City Spirits North Liquors to see how accessible this liquor store is. We were pleased to find it very wheelchair friendly and accessible.

There is a handicap parking space located right in front of the entrance. The entry doors are not automatic so Kevin held the door open while Tony pushed my manual chair inside. Once inside I was pleased to find the store spacious and all the aisles wide enough for me to wheel my chair along. There was no clutter blocking access.

A display of Pumpkinhead Ale made by Shipyard Brewery captured my attention. This Pumkinhead Ale is a seasonal specialty beer so I bought a six pack to bring home. I love pumpkin spice coffee so I figured I would like this beer which I did ;-)

All the employees are very kind and helpful; they will help you reach any product you need. The cashier counter is of a good wheelchair accessible height and I had no problem reaching it to pay for my beer.

I give City Spirits North Liquor FOUR STARS for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn the Fifth Star they would need to install an automatic door so a customer in a wheelchair can enter and exit independently.
