My friends and I were recently at Old Colony Place in Plymouth and saw a store called Cold Water Creek. Because of its name, we thought it was an outdoors sports shop, with men’s outdoor clothes and fishing gear. Well to our surprise, Cold Water Creek is a women’s clothing store. It is very wheelchair accessible.
The entry door is wide but not automatic. The store is spacious with plenty of room to maneuver your chair between all the women’s clothes for sale. Women’s purses, jewlery and accessories are sold here as well as some small items for your home, like pillows, quilts and candles.
The cashier counter is of a perfect wheelchair accessible height all the way around. Amanda went to check out the dressing room. There is one large handicap accessible dressing room which can easily fit any size wheelchair; safety grab bars are located on the wall by a seat.
I give Cold Water Creek FOUR STARS for wheelchair accessibility. They would simply need to install an automatic entry door so a wheeler can enter independently to earn the Fifth Star.
