I often travel to Plymouth to shop at Common Sense, a Wholesome Food Market that sells natural healthy foods products, supplements, and body care products so today I decided to do a wheelchair accessibility review of the place. Handicap parking spaces are available in front of the store on Main Street. The entry doors are not automatic so you will need help with opening the door.
I especially like a natural sugar product they carry named, NuStevia White Powder sugar which is made by NuNaturals. It contains 0 calories and only 1 gram of carbohydrates. It will not raise your blood sugar levels and therefore is safe for diabetics. The NuStevia White Powder sugar is located on a shelf that I can easily reach.
The aisles are wide enough for my wheelchair except in the back of the store where I can’t get my wheelchair to because the aisles are too narrow. The check out counter is a little high for my wheelchair but manageable. The staff are always very courteous, kind and helpful!
There are always samples of teas, coffee’s, health bars, cookies and other healthy products they sell. Today I had some healthy chips and a piece of a health bar. You can relax at a sitting area that has tables and stools but they are not wheelchair accessible for they are too high for my wheelchair. There are no public restrooms at the store but most small stores like this do not have public restrooms.
I give Common Sense THREE STARS for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn the other Two Stars they would need to install an automatic entry door, widen the area with the narrow aisles in the back of the store, and place a wheelchair accessible table in the sitting area.
