sign.jpgEast Bay Grille just opened and it is located on the beautiful waterfront of Plymouth Harbor. My mom took my friends and I here for lunch and to do a wheelchair accessibility review. We have already reviewed all of the restaurants on the waterfront so we were curious to see how this new place was.
 
Parking is no problem for East Bay Grille offers FREE Valet Parking for all their guests. There is a nice brick walkway with no slope that leads to the entry door so wheeling your wheelchair to the entry door is very easy. The entry has a set of two doors you will need help with opening for neither are automatic.
 
doors.jpgOnce inside it is spacious and easy to maneuver your wheelchair around. A hostess greets and seats you. It is a little dark for someone with visual impairment so I would recommend that you ask to sit by the window where it is brighter and easier to see if you have problems with vision. The table was a good height and fit my wheelchair with ease. Sue was our waitress and she was very nice and took the time to listen to me when I ordered. The food was delicious.
 
There is also an outdoor dining area and the tables here are also a good height for wheelchairs and you are protected from the hot sun for there is a roof over the tables. The view of the ocean  is really nice from outside but you also get a nice view of the ocean if you sit at a table inside by the window. And the inside is nicely air conditioned!
 
The restrooms are very wheelchair accessible but you will need help with opening the door. There is a large handicap stall with all the ADA required safety bars. The sinks are accessible and do not have protective covering around the exposed pipes but it is not a problem in the restrooms here for the pipes are blocked and set way back.
 
I give the East Bay Grille FOUR STARS. In order to earn the Fifth Star they would just need to install an automatic door at the entry.
