Sadly Eunice Kennedy Shriver died Tuesday August 11, 2009 at age 88. I along with millions of other persons with disABILITIES are FOREVER GRATEFUL for her lifelong devotion, dedication, love, compassion and hard work she has done to IMPROVE the QUALITY of lives of millions of us with disABILITIES!

Eunice Shriver was a compassionate champion! She singlehandedly changed the way the WORLD treats persons with disABILITIES ! She paved the way and made it possible for us with disAbilities to lead a rich and productive life in the community, outside the walls of a nursing home or institution!

Eunice Shriver founded  Special Olympics in 1968. Special Olympics, a worldwide organization has enhanced the lives of millions of persons with disABILITIES around the world by bringing sports, competition, achievement and the spirit of “YOU CAN DO IT”!

Eunice Kennedy Shriver is truly the Star! She is an Angel of God! I know she is up there with the angels enjoying God’s heavenly company!
