ihop-004.jpgWhile traveling through Raynham, we decided to stop and have lunch at IHOP and do a wheelchair accessibility review. We had no problem finding a handicap parking space for it was located right up front. There are no automatic doors so my friends held the door open for me. Once inside we were greeted by a friendly hostess who lead us to our table.

ihop-008.jpgThe tables are at a good height for my wheelchair and the lighting was perfect. When ordering, our nice waitress took the time to tell me the specials of the day and listened to hear what I wanted to order. The service was wonderful and the manager and our waitress were very courteous and attentive. We all thought that our meals were delicious.

ihop-005.jpgThe restrooms are kind of small and I found it difficult to maneuver my wheelchair inside the restroom. The accessible sink is at a good height for my wheelchair and the pipes underneath are covered which is now ADA required but it was difficult to get my wheelchair to the sink for there is not much space inside this restroom. ADA required safety handrails are located in a perfect place on the wall around the toilet and the toilet is at a good height.

I give IHOP in Raynham THREE STARS for wheelchair accessibility. They can earn the other Two Stars if they install an automatic entry door and enlarge the restroom.
