jack-spade-017.jpgAfter leaving Chinatown, my friends and I headed to Newbury Street. We were interested to see if we could find any accessible shop or café located on Newbury Street because in the past we have found none. We thought a different section may have some accessible places, only to be disappointed once again.

The first store we came upon was Jack Spade. Jack Spade specializes in Men’s bags and accessories. We saw steps leading down to the main entrance and didn’t see any wheelchair access. Kellie, my friend went inside the store to ask if there is an accessible entrance for me to enter. Annsley, a very nice employee told Kellie that unfortunately they do not have an accessible entrance. She kindly told Kellie that she and other employees here are willing to bring out some merchandise for disabled persons to see. Annsley also told her that all merchandise can be purchased at their website online.

I give this Jack Spade store  ZERO STARS for wheelchair accessibility. I give Annsley Five Stars for being kind and considerate and her willingness to come outside and help customers who have no way to enter.
