jimpizae-003.jpgMy friends and I had lunch at Jimmy’s Pizza for a healthy salad after attending a session at the Healthtrax Health and Fitness Center. Jimmy’s Pizza is partially wheelchair accessible and needs to make a few minor changes to be fully wheelchair accessible.

jimpizza-005.jpgThere is only one handicap parking space located in front of the restaurant. You will need help with entering for the entry doors are narrow double doors that are not automatic. I was in my manual chair because it is the one I take to the gym and Justin, my friend had to push my wheelchair through the entry while he kept the doors open. This is not an easy task.

jimpizza-007.jpgJimmy’s Pizza is spacious and I found it easy to maneuver my wheelchair around. The ordering/cashier counter is way too high for me in my wheelchair and my friends had to tell the employee what I wanted for lunch. The tables are too small for all of us to fit and eat at so we had to put two tables together. The height of the table was perfect for my wheelchair. There are no restrooms located inside Jimmy’s Pizza. The food and service was good.

I give Jimmy’s Pizza THREE STARS for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn the other Two Stars, they need to install automatic entry doors; lower the order/cashier counter to a wheelchair accessible height and add a few wider surface tables.
