My friends Tony, Kevin and I went to Ride-a-Way in North Attleboro to bring in my van for a full inspection of the conversion equipment which is recommended every 6 months for power equipment and every 12 months for manual equipment. While waiting for the inspection, we decided to have lunch right next door at La Strada Pizzeria and found it fairly wheelchair accessible.

There is one handicap parking space located right in front of the wheelchair access to the side walk in front of the main entrance. There are no automatic entry doors so Kevin held the door open while Tony pushed my manual chair inside. Once inside I found the restaurant is small but has plenty of room to maneuver my chair. The service counter where you place and pay for your food order is of a good wheelchair accessible height and the employee was very kind and pleasant.

All the tables inside this restaurant are booths which make wheelchair seating difficult; the height of the table was good and I sat on the outside of the table; my legs fit comfortably underneath but didn’t leave much room for my friends legs.

When our food order was ready it was brought to our table by the kind employee who took our order. We didn’t see any public restrooms located inside this restaurant.

I give La Strada Pizzeria THREE STARS for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn the other Two Stars they would need to install an automatic door so a customer in a wheelchair can enter and exit independently; and place some accessible tables inside the dining room.
