While shopping at Middleborough Crossings Ric, Amanda and I stopped at Launderama to see how wheelchair accessible it is and were pleased to find this laundry mat wheelchair friendly and accessible.

There are plenty of handicap parking spaces located in the parking lot close to the entrance. Wheelchair access to the sidewalk is close by and clearly marked with bright yellow paint. The entry door has an engraved sign which reads “If you need assistance please ask – our staff is ready and willing to help. Thank You.” I’ve noticed all the entry doors at Middleborough Crossing have the same exact sign. Yet here I experienced help without even asking.

The entry door is not automatic yet we didn’t need to open it for a nice employee came to open the door for us as soon as we approached.  Once inside I saw the customer service counter which is of a wheelchair height. The customer service counter has a blue sign with a wheelchair accessible symbol posted on it. Located next to this sign is another sign which states, “If you need assistance ask and the staff will assist you”. I believe they will always help for they already opened the door for me.

We spoke with Jane, the owner of Launderama. She is very kind, sensitive, warm and helpful. She told me the employees here will always help any customer who needs assistance loading and unloading the machines. The other employees we met are just as kind.

All the washers and dryers are of a good wheelchair accessible height. Wash and Fold Service is available for a minimal price if you don’t have time to wait.

The restrooms are spacious, wheelchair accessible and fully ADA compliant. I could reach the soap and towel dispenser easily too.

I give the Launderama in Middleboro FIVE STARS for wheelchair accessibility. We normally require an automatic to earn 5 stars yet an employee here is always ready to assist you with opening the door; which we experienced ourselves. Jane and the employees earn FIVE STARS for their kindness, sensitivity and helpfulness.
