logan-airport-legal-001.jpgLast Sunday, Tony, Jowanna and I drove my mom and Aunt Nancy to Logan Airport for their flight to South Beach. Their American Airlines flight departed from Terminal B and here my mom treated us to lunch at the Legal C-Bar, a casual restaurant and bar owned by Legal Seafoods. I found this Legal C-Bar is only partially wheelchair accessible due to NO wheelchair accessible seating in the lounge/bar.

There are plenty of handicap parking spaces located in the terminal parking garage close to the automatic door entrance. An elevator took us to the level where the Legal C-Bar and the airport’s security check in is located.

logan-airport-legal-002.jpgThis Legal C-Bar is open daily at 7am and closes 30 minutes prior to the last flight. The entrance is wide open with easy wheelchair access. To the left of the entrance is the dining room area. I found plenty of room to wheel my chair between the tables in this area. All the tables in the dining room area are of a good wheelchair accessible height and I comfortably fit.

logan-airport-legal-004.jpgTo the right of the entrance is a bar/lounge. There is NO wheelchair accessible seating in this bar/lounge. The bar is too high for a customer in a wheelchair to reach and all the tables in this area are tall bar/style tables which are not wheelchair accessible. A large flat screen TV placed above the bar is viewable from all areas.

logan-airport-legal-003.jpgWe all ordered a fish sandwich which was freshly cooked and delicious. Our waitress was very kind, courteous and respectful.

If you need to use a restroom, the Terminal B public restrooms located close to Legal C-Bar are spacious, wheelchair accessible and fully ADA compliant.

I give Legal C-Bar Three Stars for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn the other Two Stars they would need to lower a section of the bar to a wheelchair accessible height so a customer in a wheelchair can sit at the bar to enjoy a drink or meal; and place a few wheelchair accessible tables in the lounge.
