Lindo’sLindo’s Pizza, located in downtown Middleboro is in the same town of my new home and is within walking distance of the nursing home where I used to live.  When I lived in the nursing home I often went for walks (wheeling in my wheelchair) to downtown Middleboro but could never get into Lindo’s Pizza because they are not at all wheelchair accessible. They are still not wheelchair accessible today. There is a step leading to the main entry door and a pole in the middle of the step so it is impossible to even lift a wheelchair up the step. If one in a wheelchair did manage to get up the step then there is another step leading into Lindo’s.

The nursing home staff , other residents and I often ordered take out food from Lindo’s. Yet, we stopped due to the lack of courtesy and rudeness of the delivery persons. The people who took phone orders at Lindo’s were also rude. When some of my disabled friends tried to call in orders, the people at Lindo’s would tell them that they didn’t have time to try to understand what they were saying and then would rudely hang up on them.  I don’t think we were the only ones who experienced this rudeness …check out the review I found online when searching for Lindo’s official address. We also stopped ordering takeout because of the poor quality of food.

I give Lindo’s ZERO STARS. They could earn Five Stars if they removed the pole in the middle of the entrance and added a ramp to the main door entry door. I’m not sure what they would need to do inside to make it fully wheelchair accessible because I’ve never gotten inside. The people who work at Lindo’s should also learn how to be more respectful to the disabled.
