My friends and I were traveling to Marshfield Fair yesterday to do a wheelchair accessibility review and we realized that we missed a turn and traveled too far so we stopped at the closest place to ask for directions which was Marshfield Liquor Store. My mom was going to meet us at the Fair and when we told her where we were she met us here. My mom and Ric went in to ask for directions and came back out and told me that we need the camera for we should do a wheelchair accessibility review of this place too for it is very wheelchair accessible.
There is a handicap parking space right up front and the entry door is Automatic with railings on both sides. The aisles in the store are wide enough for a wheelchair to wheel down and turn the corner with ease. The checkout counter is a perfect height for a person in a wheelchair to make a purchase. The employee who works here told Ric and my mom that the owner of the Liquor Store made the counter the required height that ADA recommended for persons in wheelchairs. He also told Ric and my mom that an employee will carry all purchased items to a person’s vehicle if they need help. You never know when a person in a wheelchair may need to buy some liquor for a party or a special occasion so I think it’s GREAT that this liquor store is so very wheelchair accessible. There are no public restrooms in this store but I don’t think any liquor store has a public restroom.
