While wheeling along Water Street in Plymouth, I spotted a new place called Maui Wowi and was pleased to find it wheelchair accessible. There is a wide wheelchair accessible cement walkway located on the side of the building leading to the main entry door. Railings are located on both sides for added safety.
Once I got to the entry door I wheeled right inside as the door was wedged open. The service counter is a little high but it’s manageable; persons in wheelchairs can reach it and place their orders at this counter. The employees here are very friendly and one employee even took a picture with me.
Maui Wowi is a take-out place and they don’t serve food but have great iced coffees, smoothie’s and juice drinks. The drinks are refreshingly cool on hot days of summer like we’ve had this week!
I give Maui Wowi FOUR STARS for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn the FIFTH STAR they would need to install an automatic entry door so a person in a wheelchair can enter independently when the door is closed.
