Moe’s Southwest Grill is a fast food and casual southwestern restaurant. It is located in the new Colony Place Shopping Plaza in Plymouth and just opened last September. A friend recently recommended that I go there to do a wheelchair accessibility review and try their Mexican food for I love Mexican dishes. I was disappointed with the wheelchair accessibility of Moe’s for I thought it would be better since it is a new building.
There are two separate entry doors you will need help with opening for neither are automatic. Once inside you will need to maneuver your wheelchair into a narrow aisle to order your food. My wheelchair did fit in this area but it was very tight. The staff at Moe’s were all very courteous and helpful. The menu has many Mexican dishes like tacos, quesadillas, salads, nachos and burritos. I liked it because you can customize any menu item the way you like it and it is all prepared and cooked right in front of you. I could see the choices of foods thru the glass for it was good height for my wheelchair.
The counter at the end to pay and pick up your food was a good height for my wheelchair. The restroom was an individual room which was spacious to maneuver my wheelchair in and it had all the required ADA requirements. The tables were a good height for my wheelchair. They also have tables outdoors that were a good height for a wheelchair if you like to eat outside. The food was absolutely delicious and very fresh. The guacamole was the best I’ve ever had. Moe’s also offers take out and delivery too. You can click on the website listed above to see if there is a Moe’s near you or view the menu.
I give Moe’s Southwest Grill THREE STARS for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn the other Two Stars they would need to install automatic doors and widen the aisle where one orders their custom Mexican dishes.
