I LOVE watching beautiful Bluebirds and other Songbirds in my yard! It’s a very enjoyable and accessible hobby. I especially love to watch my Bluebirds fly! Their brilliant blue color is majestic!
I have a trail of 4 Bluebird houses in my yard and all are accessible for they are 3-5 feet in height. My trail of Bluebird Houses also helps make it safer and more accessible for Bluebirds and other Songbirds to nest!
It’s delightful to watch a Bluebird build a nest; lay tiny blue eggs; see the newborn babies; watch the babies grow; and then watch the parents feed them right on my deck! I can even watch my Bluebirds on my deck when I ride my Theracycle Exerciser Fitness Bike!

My mom loves Bluebirds too and has Bluebirds nesting in her yard. You can view a video of my mom’s Bluebird Nest, Eggs and Babies at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctGx7pqs_PU.
Hope you enjoy our Documentary Video of my Bluebird’s Nest, Eggs & Babies in my yard! It contains some great video footage of the baby Bluebirds being fed by their parents on my deck.
Safe Access for All!

Awesome video Kenny! It is so exciting to watch the bluebirds grow. I can’t wait until my deck is stained next week so I can put up a new feeder.
Thanks for sharing!

Kenny, I love seeing your beautiful Bluebirds when I visit and applaud you for advocating for safe and accessible access for Bluebirds and Songbirds to nest as well as full and equal access for persons with disabilities! Love, Auntie Nana

Wonderful video!
I’d like to attract bluebirds to my backyard too, but I live in a wooded area. Since bluebirds are known to prefer open field, do you think I have a shot at attracting them if I use mealworms despite my location?

Hi Christine, Bluebirds don’t usually nest in wooded areas. You may want to put a bluebird house in front of your house near the street like my mom did. She put a bluebird house on her mailbox post and bluebirds have nested in it for many years. The mailman opening the mailbox doesn’t even bother them.
