Wednesday my friends Amanda, Ric and I went to see the New England Patriots practice at the New England Patriots Training Camp which is located right behind
Gillette Stadium at
Patriot Place . It was FUN & EXCITING to see the Patriots practice at this very wheelchair accessible training camp. And Admission is FREE.
When we arrived we were greeted by a parking attendant who directed us to the handicap parking spaces. There is plenty of handicap parking right in the front of the parking lot. Once out of our van we headed across the road; here is a brightly painted crosswalk with easy wheelchair access to the sidewalk on the other side. We then followed a wide cement walkway that leads all the way to the rear of Gillette Stadium. Once we arrived here a nice employee pointed us in the direction of the wheelchair accessible entrance to the Training Camp.
This accessible entrance is located by the cement building which has a sign Cheerleaders on it. When we arrived here, another friendly employee told me to wheel up a sloped cement walkway which leads to a really nice wheelchair accessible cement ramp with railings on both sides. This ramp lead me to the front of the stands.
Once in front of the stands, another very nice employee showed us to the wheelchair seating which is right up front. Here you’ll find cut-out sections for wheelchairs with bench seating located both sides so your friends can sit next to you. The attendants are all very kind and helpful. I really appreciated their help for its very crowded and would be difficult to get to the accessible section without the attendants help.
Once I was seated in the accessible seating area, I was really pleased we had such a clear view of the players practicing on the field. My friends and I got some great pictures of all the players practicing different drills. I saw Tom Brady throw a great pass to Randy Moss!
Once the practice was over; another nice employee suggested I wheel over to the wheelchair accessible ramp because some of the players might come over and sign autographs! Many fans quickly came running down from their seats to the front of the stands to get some autographs. It was nice to have an area for persons in wheelchairs for I never would have been able to wheel my chair through the crowds.
Randy Moss and Sam Aiken came right over to say hi to me! They were both really nice and gave both me and my friend Amanda their autographs :>) I could see that they were really hot and tired after practicing on this very humid and warm sunny day. And I really appreciated them taking the time to come over. Amanda and I were thrilled! We are both BIG FANS! Ric enjoyed it too!
After leaving the stands I wheeled over to a tent where some New England Patriot Cheerleaders were greeting fans. Ric took a picture of me with two BEAUTIFUL New England Patriots Cheerleaders! The Cheerleaders were really great and fun to meet. I’m not sure which I enjoyed more; meeting Randy Moss and Sam Aiken or meeting the two beautiful Cheerleaders! :>)
If you need to use a restroom when you’re here, there is wheelchair accessible restroom for persons in wheelchairs to use. It is located in a building near the cheerleader’s tent. The attendant here kindly held the door open while Ric pushed my manual chair up a wide cement ramp leading to the restroom door. This restroom is spacious and fully ADA compliant.
While you’re here don’t forget to check out ‘The Hall’ at Patriots Place. It’s located right next to the stadium and fully wheelchair accessible. If anyone is interested in going to a New England Patriot’s Game, there are still some wheelchair seats available for some of the games. My mom & dad got me tickets to the Miami game!!
I’ve been a loyal New England Patriot’s fan my whole life and remember well the days of Steve Grogan, Tony Eason, Hugh Millen, Scott Zolak, Drew Bledsoe and now Tom Brady. I’m still good friends with Scott Zolak and Coach Dick MacPherson who coached the New England Patriots years back.
I’ve been to many New England Patriot games with my family before I was disabled as well as after. I always enjoyed watching the games in the old Stadium and even more so in the new Gillette Stadium which is fully ACCESSIBLE TO ALL! The Kraft family did a great job in making their facilities fully accessible and enjoyable for all!
I give the New England Patriots Training Camp FIVE STARS PLUS for wheelchair accessibility! I give Randy Moss and Sam Aiken FIVE STARs for their sensitivity and kindness! I give all the employees working here FIVE STARS for their kindness and help! I give the New England Patriot Cheerleaders FIVE STARS for their kindness too!

Hi there!
My dad is a huge Pats fan and I would love to find him wheelchair accessible Pats tickets! Where did you order your tickets from? Ticketmaster was very unhelpful when it came to finding wheelchair accessible tickets. Do you have any tips?
Thank you so much for your blog! It is a great resource and makes us all feel a little less intimidated about getting my Pop out and about!
Many Thanks,
Shannon

Hi Shannon,
We called the New England Patriots Administration Office (508-543-8200) and asked to be connected with the New England Patriot Ticket office regarding wheelchair seating available for games. The first three games were sold out for wheelchair seating but all other games have wheelchair seats available. My mom ordered 1 wheelchair seat with 3 companion seats right next to it. Our tickets are on Patriot side in section 203! Also the New England Patriot Ticket Office has a direct line at 508-543-1776. We’ve never had any luck getting wheelchair accessible seating at any event from Ticket Master !

If you are planning a trip make sure you use http://www.1000travelsites.com to find the best prices for flights and hotels. They search pretty much every travel provider on the web in a matter of seconds! Then they list the prices from all of the travel providers on one page so you definitely get the lowest price every time. I’ve tried other sites like this before, but this one aways has the most listings and the best prices. It’s like the google of travel searches.
