 This hotel definitely deserves a FIVE STAR PLUS rating! The Marriott Marquis is located right in the heart of Times Square in NYC so I didn’t need to take my van out of the parking garage for all of the main attractions were easily accessible by wheelchair accessible bus or subway….Plus I got to meet the Naked Cowboy who is well known in Times Square!!

I first stayed here in October of 2004 and loved it so much that I revisited in April of 2006 and will hopefully visit again sometime soon.  I even met the Naked Cowboy in Times Square! I suggest you call ahead to request the wheelchair accessible room because this review is based on staying at this hotel in the wheelchair accessible room. The entrance has an automatic door opener, plus a revolving door which both entrances are both spacious enough for a wheelchair to fit though. The elevators were very spacious for wheelchairs as well. The staff were courteous and helpful at the time of my visit.

 The doorway opening to the wheelchair accessible room was large enough for my wheelchair to fit though with ease. The room’s bathroom was very spacious and I had no problem getting around and getting all my needs met that were needed in the bathroom. The shower was a roll in shower, which I could roll my shower chair right inside for a great shower. The shower head was nice and the water flow was very soothing. If you need to use a shower chair you need to bring your own. The roll in shower had a bench but the hotel does not supply a roll in shower chair so I bought my own and it worked out excellent with the hotels roll in shower. The beds were big and very comfortable. I had no problem getting around as the room had lots of room for a wheelchair to fit and maneuver around in. 

I loved this hotel and I loved the elevators !!
