My mom, Amanda, Ric and I had lunch at the Ninety Nine Restaurant in Easton before buying some supplies at my favorite bird supply store
Wild Birds Unlimited in Easton which is located right next door. We were extremely disappointed with the poor wheelchair accessibility of this Ninety Nine Restaurant.
There are plenty of handicap parking spaces located right in front of the entrance. The entrance has two single doors you will need help with opening for neither door is automatic.
Once inside I found the hostess area is spacious and the hostess counter is of a good wheelchair accessible height. Located directly in front of this hostess area is a bar/lounge which has NO wheelchair accessible seating. The bar is NOT wheelchair accessible because it is too high for my chair; the tables are all tall bar-style tables and NONE are wheelchair accessible because they are too high. The large flat screen TVs are all easy to view yet you will not be able to enjoy watching any sport game on these TV’s because there is NO place to sit :-(
There are two dining rooms located on either side of the hostess area. Both dining rooms have ONLY booths which are not wheelchair accessible except there is one booth in each dining that is considered wheelchair accessible because the bench is removed from one side.
The BIG problem with this accessible booth is there is NOT enough space under the table for my legs to fit with my friend seated on the opposite side as you can see from this picture. We all felt squeezed in like a can of sardines.
The restroom is spacious, wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant except the pipes under the accessible sink are not covered which is ADA required.
Our waitress was very kind courteous and respectful and our grilled chicken salads were delicious.
I give Ninety Nine Restaurant TWO STAR for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn the other Three Stars they would need to install automatic entry doors so a customer in a wheelchair can enter and exit independently; place some accessible seating in the bar/lounge; place some wheelchair accessible tables in both dining rooms; and cover the pipes under the accessible sink in the restroom as ADA required.
