Friday, Tony, Kevin and I were ready to travel to Healthrax Gym for my appointment, when Tony noticed that my van seatbelt was broken. He cancelled my gym appointment and we traveled to Quality Van Sales, located in Norton for we wanted to get my seatbelt replaced ASAP. We consider
W/C Passenger Safety to be PRIORITY, especially after I was injured in an auto accident in May of 2008, when my both my wheelchair and van seatbelt let go and I went flying out of my chair.
Norton House of Pizza is located in a small plaza right across the street from Quality Van Sales; my friends and I went there to grab some lunch, while waiting for my van seatbelt to be replaced. We were pleased to find Norton House of Pizza to be very wheelchair accessible. There are two handicap parking spaces close to the wheelchair access to the sidewalk in front of Norton House of Pizza. You will need help with opening the entry door for it is not automatic.
Once inside we approached the Customer Service Counter where you place, pay for and pick up your food order. The counter is a little high but manageable for me to complete my transaction. The employees were great! They were friendly, courteous and very helpful in helping us chose the least expensive way to order our pizza.
There are seven tables located inside and one is wheelchair accessible and of a perfect height for me in my wheelchair. No public restrooms are located in here but the employees told us that the bar next door has a public restroom that we could use if needed.
I give Norton House of Pizza FOUR STARS for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn the Fifth Star, they would simply need to install an automatic entry door.
