Sadly, I went to O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton today to express my Deepest Sympathy to my very dear friend Kellie and her family. After being so ill for many months, Kellie’s wonderful and beloved mom died peacefully at home with her family by her side. Kellie was very devoted to her mom and loved her dearly and misses her a great deal. I was very pleased that I could attend this wake because this Funeral Home was wheelchair accessible for some Funeral Homes that I’ve been to in the past were not wheelchair accessible. Since I was here I thought I would do a wheelchair accessibility review of this Funeral Home. Kellie is an important member of Kenny & Company and like family to me.
 
O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home is very wheelchair accessible and will even be more wheelchair accessible soon after their current renovations are completed. There is a handicap parking space in the side parking lot right next to a wide wheelchair accessible ramp that has railings for safety and is of a good slope. Persons in a wheelchair shouldn’t have any problems wheeling up or down this ramp.
 
The Funeral Home Director told me that Automatic Doors are being installed very soon on the entry door. Once inside this Funeral Home is spacious and easy to maneuver my wheelchair around to say a prayer and to express my sympathy to Kellie and her beautiful family. Currently there is no accessible restroom yet a new large wheelchair accessible restroom with all the ADA requirements is under construction and soon to be completed.
