I recently went shopping at Old Navy in Hyannis Festival Plaza so I decided to do a wheelchair accessibility review.
There are no automatic doors. The entry is very difficult to get my wheelchair through. Once inside I started wheeling my wheelchair around the store. The main aisles are wide enough for my wheelchair, but I found it very difficult to get my wheelchair into the cubby spaces where most of the clothes are for it is a very small space.
I had to wait in the aisle so my friends could bring me the clothes to look at. Another problem was that the tables which some of the clothes are on were not the right height for my wheelchair and I couldn’t get a good look at the clothes on it. Not once did any of the Old Navy staff offer to help us as we tried to look at everything.
I give Old Navy TWO STARS because in no way shape or form is it wheelchair accessible. They could earn the other Three Stars by installing automatic doors, widen the aisles, place all clothes in wheelchair accessible locations, place clothes on tables which are a good height for persons in wheelchairs to view and train staff to be more sensitive and helpful to the disabled shopping there.

I wonder if all the Old Navy stores would get two stars. It is a great store and I am sure that the chain would want to make it better for those in wheelchairs or for that matter for mothers with babies in carriages since your aunt is now a grandmother! Love you!

Hi Aunt Nancy, I think other Old Navy Stores are much more accessible, especially the ones in the malls and newer stores. Nicole wrote the review of the one in Hyannis.
