Oliver Mill Park, Herring Run

Rte 44 Middleboro MA
Oliver Mill Park, Herring Run is a wonderful place to go for a picnic and get away from the everyday routine. At this time of year the Herring come out making their way to the canal. Sometimes you can even see an American Bald Eagle flying above and diving and hunting for the Herring.
I went to this park tonight which is at a good time of year because I got to see and even feel a herring. As far as accessibility it was a good thing that I had my friends to help me over the humps onto the bridges. If I was in my power chair I would never be able to get onto the bridges and would have missed out on a lot.
There is a beautiful picnic area were you can enjoy a date with nature. Although, I was not able to get around the entire park due to the terrain and stone steps, I still got a good look and feel for the herring.
I give Oliver Mill Park THREE STARS due to not being fully accessible. They can earn the other 2 stars by making better ramps to the bridges and by making other areas more accessible to the water.
