p1040491-pf-entrance.jpgP.F. Chang’s is an upscale contemporary Chinese/Polynesian restaurant that is very wheelchair accessible. There are many handicap parking spaces located in the parking garage at the Prudential Center adjacent to the restaurant. P.F. Chang’s has 2 Entrances. The entry door located outside on Boylston Street is a revolving door that is not wheelchair accessible yet there is a single door next to the revolving door that persons in wheelchairs can use. This door is not automatic so you will need help with opening the door. Once inside this entry door you will be greeted by a host/hostess.

p1040492-pf-outdoor-dining.jpgThere is a lounge/bar to the left. The lounge is not wheelchair accessible for it only has tall bar tables and a bar that is too high for a person in a wheelchair. Outdoor dining in front of this Entrance is available during the summer. The restaurant is located upstairs and there is an elevator that will take you upstairs. The elevator is large and has plenty of room for my wheelchair and my friends.

p1040495-pf-entry-from-prud-center.jpgAnother Entrance is located in Prudential Center. The entry door at this entrance is always open when the restaurant is open and leads right into the restaurant. A host/hostess desk is located here as well. The restaurant is very spacious and easy to maneuver my wheelchair around.

p1040490pfchangskenny.jpgThere are many tables and booths and all the tables are a perfect height for my wheelchair. Justin, Kellie and I ate lunch here and thought the lunch menu was reasonably priced. Our waiter was very courteous and kind and the service and food was great.

p1040493-pf-sinks.jpgThe restrooms are wheelchair accessible and spacious. There is a large handicap stall with all the ADA required safety bars. Two accessible sinks in the restroom has a countertop that is perfect height for my wheelchair. The pipes under the sinks are not exposed for there is a metal sheet in front.

I give P.F. Chang’s FOUR STARS for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn the Fifth Star they would need to install an automatic entry door at the Boylston Street Entrance and place some tables in the lounge that are wheelchair accessible.
