My dad takes me to the Regal Cinema at Silver City mall almost every Saturday to see the newest movie out in the theatre. It is the closest movie theatre to my home. My friends also take me here often because I love watching new movies! Josh, my roommate also likes movies and comes with me when he isn’t home on weekends. The entrance to Regal Cinema is wide open for it is right in the mall so it is easy for a wheelchair to enter the theatre for there are no doors. The lobby is spacious and easy to maneuver my wheelchair around. The staff at the theatre have always been very courteous, friendly and helpful.
There is a door at the entrance of each theatre and you will need help with opening the door because there are no automatic door openers. Each theatre has two wheelchair spaces, one at the end of each rear row on both sides. The wheelchair spaces are close to the seats in front and it is really hard to get my wheelchair positioned because there is not enough space or legroom. I also find it difficult if someone in my aisle has to get by me for there is not enough room for them to get by me without me having to move my chair.
The restrooms are accessible and spacious but the handicap stalls are really too small. I need help with transferring and it is a tight fit for me in my wheelchair with two friends or family members who will help me transfer. It is also very difficult to get my wheelchair in place next to the toilet for transferring because it is so small.
I give Regal Cinema at Silver City Mall TWO STARS. They could earn the other Stars if they widened the aisles with the wheelchair spaces, enlarged the handicap stall in the restroom and installed automatic doors at each theatre.

Hi Kenny: Love the pics of Lilly.
You may want to try Flagship Theater in Wareham at Rte. 58/Rte. 28. It seems like they have several wide isles for the wheel chairs, and you don’t get stuck in the back row like at the galleria.

Hi Kim,
I just love Lilly! Thanks for the tip. I’ll go the Flagship Theater in Wareham to watch a movie and write a review.
