staples-001.jpgI went to Staples today to buy some paper for my printer and decided to do a wheelchair accessibility review of this store. There are 6 handicapped parking spaces conveniently located right up front. There is a cement slope that leads to the main entry door and I had no problem getting into the store.

staples-013.jpgStaples has two sets of entry doors but no one will have a problem with opening these doors for both are automatic! Once inside I found it easy to maneuver my wheelchair around for Staples is spacious and the aisles are wide.  A couple of the aisles did have some displays located on both sides of the aisles which made it very difficult for me to get by without bumping into the displays.
 
staples-005.jpgThe checkout line has an ATM/Credit Card Transaction Machine that is too high for me in my wheelchair to reach but the counter is a good height for me. The cashier printed  my receipt and I signed it. She told me that they always do this for persons in wheelchairs because they can’t reach the ATM/Credit Card Transaction Machine. All the staff at this Staples were very courteous and helpful to me and my friends today.
 
I give Staples FOUR STARS for Wheelchair accessibility. They can earn the Fifth Star by removing the displays that block access in some of the aisles and lower the ATM/Credit Card Transaction Machine so persons in a wheelchair can reach.
