food shoppingI do my weekly food shopping at my local Stop and Shop. I really enjoy doing the food shopping for my home and make a fun day of it. It’s something that I never had to do in the nursing home.  I usually go and get the important stuff first like, the snacks, soda, and DVD’s.. LOL!  On my last visit I saw my Mom shopping and I decided to sneak up on her and give her a little scare. My Mom rarely does any food shopping so it was a big surprise to see her there. It was a good time. My mom took some great pics of me doing my shopping. Check them out. kenny getting the water

Stop and Shop has automatic doors that open as soon as you approach. I love these kind of automatic doors! Once inside you will find all the aisles are wide and I have no problems getting around in the market.  Sometimes I need assistance getting items on the top shevles and the employees are always more than willing to assist me.  I enjoy this market and the staff are always great to me and very helpful and friendly and assist me with all my shopping needs. Stop and Shop has a power cart if you can use one and it’s great for someone who can’t walk far. It helps to get the shopping done. I can’t use this but thought I’d mention to anyone who can.

If you shop on your own and are in a wheelchair, You can call ahead and let them know you will need help and the Manager will set it up. I don’t usually ask for this as I have a friend to help me; I wanted to make everyone aware of this in case you do need this help.   This Stop and Shop has a Cititzens bank at this location (see my Citizens Bank review).
