subway-boston-september-1-2009-024.jpgAfter visiting the The Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help - The Mission Church and Mission Hill Playground, my mom offered to treat my friends and me to lunch. The first place we came upon was Subway which was located a short wheel from the church. We were surprised to find that this Subway is NOT Wheelchair accessible due to two small steps leading to the entry door. My mom went inside and asked if there is an alternate wheelchair accessible entrance. She was told “Sorry – No”.

There are many small ‘mom and pop’ pizza  parlors and other businesses in Mission Hill on Tremont Street that are not accessible due to a few steps. Yet I was really disappointed to see a business as BIG as SUBWAY NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE.

I give this Subway ZERO STARS for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn any Stars they would need to replace the step with a cement slope and place an accessible threshold at the entry door so persons in wheelchairs can access this Subway.
