thatcher-town-park-sign-_-1.jpgAfter my mom and aunt checked out all the hotels on South Shore Drive for a wheelchair accessible room, they decided to visit the public beaches along South Shore Drive to see how wheelchair accessible they were. The first beach that they stopped at was Thatcher Town Park.

thatcher-town-park-beach-with-steps-_-2.jpgThatcher Town Park is located towards the end of South Shore Drive. There are parking spaces along the road and a handicap parking space is right up front. There is no fee to park or get onto the beach. There are many steps leading to this beach so it is not wheelchair accessible.

Thatcher Town Park gets ZERO STARS for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn any more stars they would at least need to build a ramp leading to the beach.
