Jamie and Crew recently visited the Barnstable County Fair in Falmouth, MA.  This fair was not advertised as a handicapped accessible fair; however, it was definitely worth checking this venue out to see all the activities that they had to offer.

In the parking lot, there was handicap accessible parking that was FREE. The parking lot was rough in areas that the parking attendants apologized for the condition of the grounds around the venue. The front gate entrance was paved making the wheelchair easy to maneuver through with plenty of space.

The restroom was wheelchair accessible with wide stalls and grab bars for handicapped individual. The sinks were wheelchair accessible; however, they were not covered creating a safety hazard for people in wheelchairs.

Along all booths was a paved walkway which made accessibility with my wheelchair easy so I could participate with the activities. My friends and I had a blast with all activities such as touching all the various animals, listening to the village people, getting a tattoo, and playing games.

My favorite exhibit was the Birds of Prey show where  I had my picture took with an Eagle Owl. This show was fun and we learned a lot about these amazing birds. We received excellent treatment from the staff helping us when we needed assistance.

The overall presentation of the Barnstable County Fair was awarded THREE STARS for wheelchair accessibility!! The only things they could of improved upon was the exposed pipes in restroom and the rough ground area in parking lot.
