After participating in the DDS – ‘Community Living Video’ by Dvee Media Productions at DoubleTree Guest Suites Boston/Waltham, my mom treated my friends and me to lunch at The Grille at Hobbs Brook. The Grill, located off the main lobby of DoubleTree Guest Suites is fully wheelchair accessible.

There are 9 handicap parking spaces located close to the main entrance of the hotel. Entering the hotel lobby is easy for the entry door is automatic with a simple push of a button.

The entrance leading into The Grille at Hobbs Brook is wide open when the restaurant is open. A hostess warmly greeted us and took us to our table. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of room to wheel between the tables.

All the tables are wheelchair accessible and of a perfect height. Most of the tables are half table/half booth; the inner seat is a booth seat and the outer seats are removable chairs where your wheelchair can comfortably fit.

The Grill has an upper level that has steps leading to it. This upper level is wheelchair accessible for there is a wheelchair lift right next to the steps.

We all chose sandwiches from the luncheon menu. Our waiter was very kind, courteous and respectful. The service was great and the food delicious.

The Men’s and Women’s restrooms are located off a hall near the lobby of the hotel. The restrooms are wheelchair accessible, spacious and fully ADA complaint; except none of the pipes are covered under any of the accessible sinks which is ADA required.

I give The Grille at Hobbs Brook FIVE STARS for wheelchair accessibility. I would suggest they ask the hotel management to cover the pipe under at least one accessible sink in the hotel restroom which is ADA required.
