This past week, my crew and I attended a play called “Run For Your Wife” as performed by the Hat Trick Company. The play was held in the Stonebridge Club in the Pinehills subdivision. Parking wasn’t bad, however there were no handicap accessible van parking spaces.
My friend had to strategically park to ensure a car would not park beside us and block my van’s side access ramp. They had no automatic doors, however, we were warmly greeted at the door by a gentleman who held it open for me. The doorways were wide and I didn’t have to open both of them to fit through with my wheelchair. The lighting was very nice and the floor plan of the club was open and spacious. We were shown to the elevator after we purchased our tickets and went down to the first floor. The elevator very comfortably accommodated myself, my chair, and two friends.
Once downstairs, it was easy to find where the production would take place. It was a large room with several round tables to seat the patrons. We were noticed right away by a very friendly couple named Tony and Maria. They were sitting in the most convenient seats for us and immediately suggested that we should have their seats and they moved around to the other side of the table. We were so fortunate to find such nice, friendly people to make our view of the play as good as possible. Lighting was good during the play and the stage was very visible from all seats in the house. Their sound system was great as well.
The Stonebridge Club in the Pinehills is a great place to catch a play.
Jamie & crew give The Stonebridge Club in the Pinehills FOUR STARS for wheelchair accessibility. They would be given Five Stars, if they would place a van size handicap parking space in the parking lot and install automatic entry doors.
