village-green.jpgThe Village Green is another hotel that my mom and aunt went to check out to see if they had any wheelchair accessible rooms. There is no ramp leading to the lobby at the Village Green. There are two steps which a wheelchair wouldn’t be able to get up. My mom asked the woman at the desk if they had any wheelchair accessible rooms. The woman told my mom that they had wheelchair accessible rooms but you have to get the wheelchair up over the two steps leading to the room. My mom then asked if these rooms had wheelchair accessible bathrooms or a roll in shower and the woman so no, they just have a bathtub that you could out a bench in. My mom also said that the doors to the rooms looked too narrow for a wheelchair to enter.

Kenny and Company give The Village Green ZERO STARS for wheelchair accessibility. In order to earn any more stars, they would need to place a ramp leading to lobby door, place a ramp leading to a wheelchair accessible room, widen the door to a wheelchair accessible ramp and convert the bathroom to a wheelchair accessible bathroom with an accessible sink and a roll in shower stall!
