On our visit to DC in June of 2007, we went to see Senator John Kerry. His office is in the Russell Senate Office building and we had no problems getting to the building. Washington DC is a very accessible city. The building’s entrance was large and I got in with no problems. One of the security guards opened the door for me. The building was very spacious and all of the staff were very helpful and I got to the Senator’s office but Senator Kerry was in session. His staff member Brain Rice was very helpful. He took us down to the session and we waited to see Senator Kerry. Senator Kerry was nice enough to come out and visit with us in between going back and forth into session, which there was a vote going on at the time. Senator Kerry met with me and my friends and talked to us all. It was really fantastic meeting Senator Kerry and his staff who were all very nice and made my trip to DC all the more enjoyable.
Senator Kerry even asked a photographer take a picture of him with me and my staff and mailed the original picture to me and autographed it for me!
I give this visit FIVE STARS for easy access and great friendly staff in the building and on Senator Kerry’s staff and Senator Kerry himself was FANTASTIC! I thank him and his staff for the wonderful visit I had there.
