ince Verizon is the leading phone company in this area, they are responsible for providing equipment to people with disabilities. It just so happens that I have their service not only for telephone, but also for cable and internet at a very reasonable price.
I submitted an application with a copy of a doctor’s order stating my limitations to see what equipment I would be eligible for. A few weeks later I received a confirmation letter stating that I qualified for the specialized equipment and free 411 information calls. There was a list of providers where I could check out the best phone for me. Keep in mind that they can also do house visits, so you can set it up the way you like for your convenience. The Clarity RC-200 phone was the best for me because it had a remote control, speakerphone, automatic scanning and dialing, large key buttons, memory buttons, voicemail and unanswered call indicator. There were also other accessories that I could have that came with it but I would not have benefited from. I love my new phone which allows me to do more for myself.
Verizon Center for Customers with Disabilities gets FIVE STARS for providing a service for people with disabilities and for helping me to overcome some obstacles in my life.
